If you love clays the chances are you will have shot using a Promatic. For 20 years Promatic have been designing and building the finest automatic clay pigeon traps you can buy, but do not just take our word for it take a look at the customer comments on this site and the map of shooting grounds which use our machines.
Our reputation for quality is proven by the fact that many of our early clay pigeon traps are still in use at commercial grounds in over 50 countries across the Globe. Our industry leading innovations such as our “Knife Edge System” have been copied by many but bettered by none. Today we have a range of over 60 clay pigeon traps for every clay sport from Skeet through to Sporting. Promatics are used on the Worlds most prestigious shooting grounds and many of the National and International Championships are shot using our clay pigeon traps.

Our commitment to Clay Shooters
We have sold in excess of 40,000 clay pigeon traps to clay shooters on every continent. Promatic’s commitment to the sport is total, many of our team, from the shop floor to the Chairman, shoot clays on a weekly basis often to competition standard. As a result we are passionate about the sport and are often our harshest critics when it comes to designing and testing clay pigeon traps. We sponsor not only the leading shooters but also the young emerging talent, who have yet to make their mark, but need our support to help them become the champions of tomorrow. Each weekend during the season we have teams around the World helping support local shoots and major championships so that the sport can prosper from grassroots upward. In 2005 we have supported over 30 events including the World Universal Trap in France, the World Compact in Austria and the Triple Classic held in England, Russia and, in 2006, the USA.
Quality, Quality, Quality
Congatulations to Kent Gun Club, in 2005 a team of five members created a new World Record shooting almost 5,000 clays in 8 hours from a single Promatic Clay Pigeon Trap. Under these testing conditions, releasing 5,000 clays, the clay pigeon trap had ZERO no birds !
When someone shouts "pull" a clay pigeon trap has to work first time, every time. The only valid excuse for a no bird can only be a substandard clay and that is why quality is implicit to every product and service we sell.
The UK manufacturing plant is set in the heart of the aerospace and automotive region, their zero defect engineering disciplines and exacting component quality standards are transferred into everything we do. Take our throwing arms - whilst other manufacturers use a standard grade aluminum, which tends to flex and warp under continued use, we utilise a specialist aerospace grade alloy which can withstand the enormous pressures unleashed by our springs.
Your clay pigeon trap will be quality tested on completion and the testers initials attached to to the machine alongside having a serial number stamped onto the frame for security purposes. We provide you with warranties from 1 year to 3 years with an option to extend by a further 3 years. In addition our parts service is supplying spares to clay pigeon traps we built 20 years ago and we have a policy, were possible, of continuing support for all our machines giving you the comfort that your machine can always be maintained.
We know our clay pigeon traps are the best because for 20 years you have been using them often in some of the most testing conditions on the planet, from the colds of a Moscow winter through the heat of an Arizona summer and everything that the harshness of sitting on top of a tower in the wilds of Scotland can provide; and yet a Promatic trap will always work day after day, year after year. That is what we mean by quality.
